Our Analysis

Dr. Sheth's Ceramide & Vitamin C Oil-Free Moisturizer is a lightweight face cream designed for daily hydration and brightening. On Flash AI, it earns an AI Score of 82/100, supported by 887 verified reviews gathered across 5 platforms, reflecting a solid and consistent track record among users. The product targets adult skin of all types and carries an oil-free formulation. Made in India, it comes in 50g, 100g, and 200g tube packaging and suits both AM and PM routines.

The two core actives here are Ceramide and Vitamin C. Ceramides are lipid compounds that reinforce the skin's natural barrier, helping it retain moisture over time. The product highlights confirm that the Ceramide Complex in this formulation locks in moisture for prolonged hydration while strengthening the barrier. Vitamin C addresses brightening directly: the Vitamin C Complex targets dark spots, discoloration, and pigmentation to work towards a more even complexion with regular use. The formula also carries an oil-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free, vegan, and cruelty-free profile, making it a clean option for users who prioritise these standards in their skincare.

This moisturizer suits oily, combination, and acne-prone skin the most. Reviewers consistently highlight how quickly it absorbs and how it leaves no greasy or sticky residue, making it a reliable choice under sunscreen or as a makeup base. Its lightweight texture also makes it approachable for first-time moisturizer users who worry about heaviness or added shine. That said, users with very dry skin report that the hydration level may not be sufficient on its own, especially in drier weather. A small number of users have experienced peeling and burning near the lip area after prolonged use, so patch testing is advisable for sensitive skin. One reviewer also raised concerns about coconut alkanes as a potentially pore-clogging ingredient, worth noting if congestion is a concern for you.

Priced between ₹288 and ₹599 across 14 sellers, this moisturizer offers solid value for a dual-active formulation combining barrier repair and brightening. The AI Score of 82/100 alongside 887 reviews confirms consistent performance for its intended audience. For oily or combination skin seeking lightweight daily hydration with a brightening benefit, this delivers at the lower end of its price range. If your skin trends dry, use this in the morning and layer a richer cream at night. Either way, a patch test first is the sensible approach if your skin runs sensitive.

"With a Flash AI Score of 82/100, Ceramide & Vitamin C Oil-Free Moisturizer - 100g earns its ranking through demonstrated, cross-platform results."

"I wanted to try a ceramide moisturizer and this product so far had the safe ingredients so gave it try. Tbh it didn't disappoint me. For my combination skin, it really hydrated my skin without drying out or making it too oily. It has a gel like cream texture so wasn't much of a problem for my oily t-zones. Plus, i felt like it lightened my skin tone, along with the pigmented areas. The only problem i found in this is that it has coconut alkanes in ingredient list, idk why it's included as it will clog pores and honestly, i did feel like the texture of my skin got a bit more visible after it's usage so it concerns me. Other than it's a perfect ceramide moisturizer in the market. Due to the clogging of pore issue, i'm looking for some other ceramide cream but all of the products which use safe ingredients are expensive, especially that formulax wala one :( Anyways, i used it for 3 months (50 gm went 3 months for me, barely) and it didn't break me out or dried out my skin. Lightened my complexion. Overall, a good product (except the coconut ingredient it has)."

Frequently asked questions

How do I apply this moisturizer and how often should I use it?

Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin on your face twice daily, once in the morning and once at night, as the product suits AM and PM routines. Work it in with light upward strokes until fully absorbed. Because it is lightweight and oil-free, it layers easily under sunscreen as part of your morning routine.

What skin types benefit most from this moisturizer?

It works best for oily, combination, and acne-prone skin types, based on reviewer feedback about its non-greasy, fast-absorbing texture. Users with normal skin also report positive results. Users with very dry skin, however, have found it less hydrating than needed, so those with dry skin may want to pair it with a richer cream, particularly in cooler or drier conditions.

How do ceramides work in this moisturizer?

Ceramides are lipid compounds that form a key part of the skin's natural barrier. In this formulation, the Ceramide Complex reinforces that barrier, helping your skin retain moisture and stay hydrated for longer. Consistent use supports healthier-looking skin by reducing moisture loss throughout the day.

How long does it take to see brightening or dark spot results?

The Vitamin C Complex in this moisturizer targets dark spots, discoloration, and pigmentation, but reviewer insights do not confirm a specific timeline for visible results. With consistent AM and PM use, brightening actives typically show improvement over several weeks of daily application. Results vary based on your skin type and the severity of existing pigmentation.

Is this moisturizer safe for sensitive or irritation-prone skin?

Some users have reported peeling and burning near the lip area after prolonged use, which suggests the formula may not suit all sensitive skin types. If you have reactive skin, do a patch test on a small area before applying it to your full face. If irritation develops, stop use and seek guidance from a dermatologist.

How does this moisturizer differ from a regular basic moisturizer?

A basic moisturizer typically addresses only surface hydration. This formulation combines a Ceramide Complex for barrier repair with a Vitamin C Complex for brightening, covering both hydration and pigmentation concerns in a single product. It also carries an oil-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, vegan, and cruelty-free profile, which goes beyond what most standard moisturizers offer.

Where can I find this moisturizer at the lowest price?

The moisturizer spans 14 sellers with prices starting from ₹288. Comparing listed prices on major Indian e-commerce platforms before purchasing is the quickest way to secure the best deal at any given time. Prices vary by pack size, as the product comes in 50g, 100g, and 200g options.

What does this moisturizer feel and look like on skin?

Reviewers describe it as ultra-lightweight and non-greasy, with a smooth, silky finish after absorption. It leaves no sticky or oily residue and does not cause shine, making it comfortable for all-day wear and as a base before makeup. The product carries a subtle fragrance that most users find pleasant rather than overpowering.

Is this moisturizer non-comedogenic and suitable for acne-prone skin?

The product is oil-free and has earned positive feedback from oily and acne-prone skin users in verified reviews. However, one reviewer flagged coconut alkanes in the ingredient list as a potentially pore-clogging ingredient. If you are highly prone to congestion or breakouts, patch test first and monitor your skin's response during the initial weeks of use.

Can I use this alongside other Vitamin C products in my routine?

This moisturizer already contains a Vitamin C Complex, so pairing it with a separate high-concentration Vitamin C serum increases your total Vitamin C exposure. For most users this is manageable, but those with sensitive skin may notice increased irritation. Introduce any additional Vitamin C actives gradually and observe how your skin responds before committing to the combination.
